Tis the season… final project presentations in Management

What is the universal sign of the end of the semester for Management students? Final project presentations, created for clients, peers, and faculty to enjoy! In Kathi Tunheim’s Organizational Behavior and Human Resources courses, students trotted out their best to share project deliverables. Here are some of the projects:

 Baby Boomers & Beyond [Torin Dougherty, Josh Detwiler, Matt Husmann, Jack Levy, Dylan Michalec, and Renee Osborn]

Our primary objective was to develop a strategic marketing plan to promote the Health4Me app and increase app downloads and usage by the ‘Older Adult’ demographic, ages 41-60. We utilized social media as well two other media platforms to attract both current UHC customers and the general public to the Health4Me app.

Early Family group working with United Health Care [Kelly Thotland, Emily Gilman, Dan Cameron, Carolyn Draayer, Andrew Lonneman and Liz McCaughtry]

UnitedHealthcare created the Health4Me app and approached our team to develop a strategic marketing plan to increase downloads of the app for the “Early Family” demographic between the ages of 29 and 40.  Our strategic marketing plan focuses on three recommendations to increase the number of downloads of their app. The marketing plans we suggest to complete the project objectives are an audiovisual ad for Pandora Radio, a magnet promoting the application logo, and a Facebook page dedicated to the promotion of the app. The recommendations are based on industry research and our own data collection through surveys, interviews and focus groups.

Leading Pastors [Ben Evlestrom, Christine Lee, Dance Petersen, James Urquhart, Nate Paulsen]

Leading PastorsOur project was under the supervision of Mary Kay DuChene and Kathi Tunheim. We interviewed eleven women executive leaders and were given the privilege to listen to their spiritual journeys and understand their leadership.  This project’s objective was to broaden the study of women who have been called to an executive rank within Christian denominations, understand their stories, and analyze the leadership styles of each in order to formulate new recommendations that will impact the success of Leading Pastors.
