Kathi Tunheim, Assistant Professor of Management, was invited by Tina Semsch ’11 and Nina Boldt ’11 who both work as Business Analysts at Accretive Health in Minneapolis. She was asked to facilitate a two hour meeting by their female employees about how to work more effectively and successfully in the business environment. Kathi shared the most recent research about women in business leadership from the Academy of Management, International Leadership Association and the Academy of Human Resource Development. Strategies for success were identified by Kathi and the employees who attended. A total of six recent Gustavus graduates work at Accretive Health. In addition to Tina and Nina, they include: Adam Toppin, Garrett Putney and Matt Olson ’10. Keisha Betcher ’12 and Doug Frey ’12 will be joining Accretive Health after they graduate from Gustavus in late May.
