Professional tennis player Eric Butorac ’03 spoke with Professor Owen’s Economics of Sports class on Wednesday via Skype. Eric currently serves as the Vice-President of the Player Council for the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP). Eric, along with Player Council President Roger Federer, has been heavily involved in the ATP’s push to increase the players’ share of revenues at the four tennis majors. Eric spoke with the class about that, the economics of the ATP Tour, and his experience as a professional tennis player.
